About NGO
The Society for Education Conscientisation Awareness and Training (ECAT) was established in the year 1988 with the aim of empowering deprived segments of the community, like women, children, the elderly, the poor, and the differently abled.
ECAT is a non-governmental, non-political development organisation. It was registered on 18th February 1988 under the Rajasthan Society Registration Act 1958. Additionally, it is also registered on 14th October 1991 under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act 1976.
Initially it began its work as a Technology Mission Project on drinking water but slowly graduated to meet community’s other felt needs and issues in the domain of health, nutrition, sanitation, education, and gender. The organisation carries out its programmes and prjects from two of its centres located at (1) Bansi Ka Bagh in Karauli and (2) Kukanwali in Kushaman Block of Nagaur District. It has a good community presence and has worked on number of issues such as education, livelihoods, youth, adolescent girls and women empowerment.

The journey commenced with Satyen Chaturvedi, the visionary behind ECAT, driven by his unwavering dedication to aiding the underprivileged and his passion for catalyzing positive societal transformations. Mr. Chaturvedi’s vision for ECAT was to establish a supportive community where every individual is empowered with the resources to surmount challenges and pursue meaningful existence.
